Although Arco and Little Amélie or the Character of Rain missed out on nominations here, both are still widely predicted to be nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar, especially since PGA tends to favor big moneymakers over indie darlings. That said, PGA did nominate Flow last year. It lost to The Wild Robot, but Flow's presence at PGA revealed its strength heading into the Oscars, where it did win Best Animated Feature. It's worth noting that since the Producers Guild introduced a category for animation in 2005, every future Oscar winner was at least nominated at PGA. This makes it less likely that Arco or Little Amélie could pull a Flow this year, upsetting a mega hit like KPop Demon Hunters. While KPop Demon Hunters isn't eligible for the BAFTA, it recently won the Best Animated Feature prize at Critics' Choice. KPop, Demon Slayer, Elio, and Zootopia 2 are all nominated for the Golden Globe. Bad Guys 2 missed out at the Globes, yet it did receive five nominations at the Annies.
The 37th Producers Guild of America Awards will be held on February 28, 2026.
