The nominations for the 76th Annual ACE Eddie Awards have been announced. In Best Edited Animated Feature Film and Best Edited Animated Series, the nominees are:

Best Edited Animated Feature Film

The Bad Guys 2 (Jesse Averna, ACE)

KPop Demon Hunters (Nathan Schauf)

Zootopia 2 (Jeremy Milton, ACE)

Best Edited Animated Series

Bob's Burgers - "Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening" (Stephanie Earley, ACE, Jeremy Reuben, ACE)

Love, Death + Robots - "Spider Rose" (Matt Mariska, Valerian Zamel)

South Park - "Twisted Christian" (David List, Nate Pellettieri)

This marks the first year since 2019 that there have only been three nominees in the feature animation category. KPop Demon Hunters and Zootopia 2 were recently nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards, although fellow ACE honoree The Bad Guys 2 got left out there. For several years, the ACE Eddie winner coincided with the Oscar winner for Best Animated Feature. Last year, though, The Wild Robot won the ACE Eddie, only to lose the Oscar to Flow. The year before that, ACE Eddie winner Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse lost the Oscar to The Boy and the Heron, which the American Cinema Editors didn't even nominate.

Bob's Burgers and Love, Death + Robots are both past winners in the animated series category, while South Park achieved its first nomination there. South Park has been showing up at a lot of award shows as of late, with renewed interest in the long-running series. It was nominated at the Annies for Best TV/Media — Mature and won the Critics' Choice Award for Best Animated Series. This bodes well for its chances at this year's Primetime Emmys.
