Best Animated Film went to Zootopia 2 at the 53rd Annual Saturn Awards, which are presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. Much like how the original Zootopia didn’t win the BAFTA, it lost the Saturn Award to Finding Dory. Now Zootopia 2 has avenged its predecessor at both BAFTA and the Saturn Awards. The Best Animated Film category wasn’t presented during the nearly four-hour streamed Saturn ceremony, but the inaugural award for Best International Animated Film was. That award went to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle, while Predator: Killer of Killers won Best Animated Television Series or Event. Invincible was also nominated for Best Superhero Television Series, although Peacemaker prevailed in that category. Avatar: Fire and Ash was the night’s big winner, not only winning Best Visual Effects, but Best Science Fiction Film as well.
