Pixar’s miniseries Win or Lose received five prizes at the 4th Children's and Family Emmy Awards, or (CAFE). Among its wins was for Outstanding Children's or Young Teen Animated Series, beating out another Pixar miniseries, Dream Productions. Despite being this year’s most-nominated animated show, Dream Productions only took home one Emmy: Outstanding Casting for an Animated Program. Although Nickelodeon took it off the menu far too soon, The Tiny Chef Show won three of its four bids, including Outstanding Preschool Animated Series. Netflix’s Ultraman: Rising also won three awards, including Outstanding Animated Special. Ultraman was notably submitted for Best Animated Feature consideration at the Academy Awards in 2024. It didn’t get nominated there, but, being a streaming release, Ultraman: Rising was able to rebrand itself as an “animated special” at the Emmys. Netflix did the same with Spellbound, which got two Emmys, one of which was for John Lithgow’s voiceover work.
