The nominations for the 37th GLAAD Media Awards have been announced, representing the best in LGBTQIA+ storytelling. Among this year's nominees is the second season of Hazbin Hotel, which is up for Outstanding Comedy Series. Created by Vivienne Medrano, the musical series stands out as one of the few animated shows to break through in the comedy race. Steven Universe was previously nominated in 2017, Big Mouth was nominated in 2021, and Harley Quinn has been nominated three times. Season 1 of Long Story Short, from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, is also up for Outstanding New TV Series this year. Both Hazbin Hotel and Long Story Short were previously included on Cartoon Contender's list for the Top 10 Animated Shows of 2025.
