My Hero Academia: Final Season picked up four prizes at the 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including Anime of the Year. Since its debut almost a decade ago, My Hero Academia has won numerous Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Anime of the Year is one category it's routinely come up empty-handed in, however. At the inaugural ceremony, its first season lost Anime of the Year to Yuri on Ice. My Hero Academia Season 2 went on to win eight awards. Despite taking home the most awards from that ceremony, Season 2 still lost Anime of the Year to Made in Abyss.

MHA wouldn't even get nominated for Anime of the Year again until 2026, when its final season garnered fifteen Anime Award nominations overall. The final season of MHA still received fewer nominations than DAN DA DAN Season 2 (20), The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 (17), and Gachiakuta (16). Being the last opportunity to recognize the iconic anime, though, MHA had an overdue factor on its side. With the final season bringing MHA its biggest nominations haul to date, this seemed like its time. This year's ceremony ultimately culminated with presenter The Weeknd declaring MHA the victor. 

Although DAN DA DAN was the most nominated anime for the second year in a row, it only managed to win two awards for Best Comedy and Best Opening Sequence. The Apothecary Diaries won five awards, including Best Drama, while Gachiakuta got three awards, most notably Best New Series. Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc was the most nominated film (13), but it walked away with just two awards. The big winner on the film front was the blockbuster Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle. In addition to winning Film of the Year, Infinity Castle won six more prizes. 

Other highlights included One Piece winning Best Continuing Series for the third time, and Lazarus winning Best Original Anime. Best Romance went to The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity, while SPY x FAMILY Season 3 won Best Slice of Life. After claiming Anime of the Year for its first season, Solo Leveling was left out of the top race this year. Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- still nabbed two awards for Best Animation and Best Animation.
